Help with Life Stack

Support and security reports are handled through [email protected] on a best-effort basis. No response or resolution time is guaranteed.

Before contacting support

Include the app version, definition version, Windows edition and build, content-free failure code, and whether a current verified backup exists.

Do not send an authority database, export, backup, Item content, query, URI, or local path unless you deliberately choose to disclose it.

Recovery order

  1. Stop writes after an integrity, disk-full, or storage failure.
  2. Preserve %LOCALAPPDATA%\LifeStack\Personal and all *.lifestack-backup files without modifying them.
  3. Free space or reconnect the configured backup destination.
  4. Validate the selected bundle. It must have exactly the supported entries, coherent identity and version fields, and matching SHA-256 checksums.
  5. Confirm that its Instance identity matches the current authority.
  6. Type RESTORE, review the replacement dialog, and restore. Life Stack first creates a verified pre-restore recovery bundle under the local recovery directory.

Life Stack never repairs corrupt authority by silently discarding records. Unsupported schemas, malformed documents, checksum failures, dangling references, corrupt SQLite pages, and limit violations fail closed.

System requirements

Personal 1.0 supports x64 Windows 11 versions that are actively supported by Microsoft and receiving security updates.

Windows 10 support is limited to version 22H2, build 19045, while that installation receives applicable Microsoft Extended Security Updates and remains current with them, ending no later than October 12, 2027. Windows 10 installations without applicable current security updates and Windows 10 LTSB/LTSC releases are unsupported.

No TPM, discrete GPU, Life Stack account, or network connection is required for core use.

Security reports

Email [email protected] with a content-free description of the issue and reproduction conditions. Do not publish exploit details or include private Stack data.

Acquisition and availability

Life Stack Personal 1.0 is free, with no trial or in-app purchases. It is currently available only to an approved private Microsoft Store audience and is not discoverable in the Store. Microsoft Store access or a Microsoft account may be required for acquisition, installation, updates, and ownership restoration.

After installation, core use requires no Life Stack account or network connection. Because the app has no purchase path, it has no Life Stack purchase-refund path. Microsoft Store acquisition, account, and transaction issues remain subject to Microsoft’s applicable policies and support routes.
